About

Meet your bass teacher

Hi, I’m Santino — a professional upright and electric bassist with a Jazz Studies degree from USC Thornton School of Music. I’ve performed and recorded with Grammy winning artists including Michael McDonald, Bob Mintzer, Bruce Foreman, Bob Sheppard and many more. I perform across genres including Jazz, Classical, Brazilian jazz, RnB, Funk, Motown, Soul, Gospel, Salsa, Rock and more!

I began studying classical bass in 6th grade, learning sight-reading and music theory early, and later expanded into jazz and multiple ensembles. Over the years, I’ve developed a versatile style that allows me to teach students across all levels and musical backgrounds.
